One of the most spectacular trekking areas in the world is in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile.  This shot of the towering mountains was taken as the sun was setting.

This colorful image was taken on the road from Cusco to the Sacred Valley in Peru.  Nancy and her husband passed through several traditional Andean villages, where they watched young weavers demonstrate Peru's most well-known art form.

 

Nancy McAllister's Biography:

Born and raised in New York City, Nancy McAllister still lives there today.  She has been an investment banker for 27 years.  Her love for traveling to far and distant countries has given her many opportunities to photograph the landscapes and people from foreign lands.  She and her husband of 21 years recently trekked through the Sacred Valley of Peru where the photo above was taken.
