Winning Photo: "Fireworks"

Photo was taken with a tripod mounted Nikon D80, on a 4 second manual exposure at f/8 with ISO 100 and a focal length of 240 mm.  The zigzag effect is from movement of the camera when the shutter was opened & closed.

 

Accompanying Photo:  "Red Sky at Night"

Fourth of July “Chase” fireworks off Fenwick/Fenwood, Old Saybrook, CT.  Photo was taken the same night, with a 2.9 second exposure @ 185 mm focal length - same ISO & aperture.

 

Brock Graham's Biography:

Brock Graham resides in Old Saybrook, CT and has taken a number of photographs in and around town, including these of the 2007 “Chase” fireworks off Fenwick/Fenwood that were a town favorite for several years (2007 was the last).  In the spring he serves as the unofficial photographer of the Old Saybrook High School Rams lacrosse team.
